So my workplace like many others does the whole diversity month to examine and celebrate the differences between us all. The month of June has been designated as the LGBT Pride Month. So in the spirit of that I thought as a heterosexual male I don't understand the struggles of the different sexualities, but maybe I should. In that vain an idea sparked to create a superhero of the opposite sexuality as me... or yourself as this happens to go.
So her is my Challenge to you. Create a superhero with either your gender but the opposite sexuality or a transgender from your own gender. How would you be as a Gay or Lesbian hero? Or if you are homosexual or Bisexual how would you be as a Straight hero. Or even how would you be if you were Transgender of yourself?
So come up with these new heroes and let me see the creativity soar! I look forward to everyone's' creations.

Is it Trans-phobic to not date a Transgender?
Recently the R&B singer Ginuwine was hailed as Trans-phobic after refusing a kiss a transgender woman and stating that he would not date a transgender woman. In the wake of this many articles and videos have been published on this. I recently saw a video in which transgender women called cisgender men 'weak' for not wanting to date them. But honestly I have to disagree with that assessment.
If a woman said no to a man who wanted to give her a kiss, she would be well in her right to say no, and no one would question that decision. What if that man was a transgender man? Would that woman be considered trans-phobic as well if she refused t

The Cold Heart of Hell - A new story project
So I am back in the grove. I have an idea for a new Star Trek story entitled The Cold Heart of Hell. The story revolves around the crew of the USS Kusanagi (NCC-65029), an Akira class starship. Having recently returned from battle the Kusanagi receives new crew and repairs. But the crew have to get their grips and dynamic down quickly as their mission is to patrol the far side of Cardassian space against the encroaching Breen Confederacy.
Meet the crew of the USS Kusanagi

This war torn newly promoted Captain must lead a tired crew back into harm's way.

When the 'O' in your OC stands for Overpowered
I'm going to start this off with a Caveat that this is my personal opinion based around the type of writing I both read and write.
I have begun to notice a trend on many Original Characters, or 'OC's for short, appearing here in what I like to call the Deviant Art Comic Universe (DACU). What I'm talking about is Omega Shock Syndrome. Omega Level was a term first coined by Marvel Comics when talking about a few of their mutant characters that had near god like abilities. However the term quickly found its way into other comic books moving from Omega Level Mutant to Omega Level Character. Now here in the DACU we have started to routinely see c

Not sure how many takers you had, but this was an interesting one. Most of my stories here involve a couple, one of whom is a transwoman. it has been interesting writing these stories, most of which would be called romances, I suppose. Putting oneself into the place of such a character has been enlightening, to say the least.
